We Interrupt This Blog For a Prayer Request

Most of you know Karen Zemek. She wrote the book, "My Funny Dad, Harry" and also writes several other blogs most notably, "The Zemeks."

Karen has been a good blogging friend since I began my blog and she's always there to cheer me along and leave comments and suggestions. If you read her blog, then you already know how welcoming and friendly Karen is to all. She is also an inspiration with her unwavering faith and devotion to Christ.

Today, she told me she has been diagnosed with breast cancer and will have to have surgery on September 1st. She is facing some tough times and could use the strength of our support. I ask that you please send prayers her way and send her a personal note of encouragement as well. She can be reached on Facebook or through her blogs.

Prayer is a mighty force. Let's send all our love and prayers to Karen and Gerard.

I've said a prayer for your friend, and will visit her blog to let her know that there is life after cancer (I'm a survivor myself - diagnosed at my first mammogram, age 40 :o) It was lovely of you to post this request.
